Dear Friend of Radio Liberty:

"When the tyrant has disposed of foreign enemies by conquest or treaty, and there is nothing to fear from them, then he is always stirring up some war or other, in order that the people may require a leader." Plato: The Republic [1]

"Is there any means known to man more effective than war, assuming you wish to alter the life of an entire people?" The Carnegie Endowment: 1908 [2]

". . . the UN was born from the blood of the 30 million humans who died in World War II." Robert Muller: 1991 [3]

Last month's letter dealt with the Millennium World Peace Summit of Religious and Spiritual Leaders, the State of the World Forum, and the Millennium Summit (Assembly). The three meetings will convene at the United Nations building in New York City. This letter addresses the spiritual significance of the site where the United Nations building stands. Several centuries ago the Manhattan Indians lived close to that place, and they called it Turtle Bay. An ancient Indian legend foresaw the day when floods of blood would drench the ground there, and that prediction came to pass. Is it possible that the site where the United Nations building stands today was selected because of the violence that took place there? [4]

The twentieth century was the most terrible period in human history. Almost 80 million people perished in the wars, and close to 150 million were killed in revolutions. Why did that happen? Why didn't rational men intervene and stop the carnage? When a child is born, the delivery site is often drenched in blood. Was the United Nations birthed with the blood of those who perished in the wars and revolutions of this past century? There are those who contend that is the case, and cherish that concept, but they dream a different dream, they worship a different god. [5]

Jim Marrs' new book Rule by Secrecy deals with the secret societies that rule the world. He claims they orchestrated the major wars of the last century, and are responsible for most of our problems today. Harper Collins published his book, and Radio Liberty will carry it despite the fact that I consider two sections border on heresy. Readers should approach the discussion of the Priory of Sion and the Merovingians with skepticism, but for those who can defend their faith and understand the spiritual nature of our struggle, Rule by Secrecy is an excellent source of information. The author condensed three hundred, hard-to-find books into a readable text that provides an overview of contemporary history; many of the texts that are quoted can be ordered from Radio Liberty. Those who belong to the Tape-of-the-Month Club can obtain a copy of my two-hour interview with Jim Marrs in lieu of two of their monthly tapes. [6] Why would anyone want a war? Rational human beings hate war, but we are not dealing with rational human beings. Those who belong to the secret societies have a different view of life because they recognize the validity of Plato's premise:

"When the tyrant has disposed of foreign enemies by conquest or treaty, and there is nothing to fear from them, then he is always stirring up some war or other, in order that the people may require a leader." [7]

National wars create national leaders; world wars create world leaders. The goal of the secret societies has always been a world government and a world religion. The inner circle of Freemasonry embraces that goal, as do the leaders of other secret groups. The following quotation is taken from an article in a Scottish Rite magazine.

"God's plan is dedicated to the unification of all races, religions, and creeds. This plan, dedicated to the new order of things, is to make all things new - a new nation, a new race, a new civilization and a new religion, a nonsectarian religion that has already been recognized and called the religion of "The Great Light." [8]

Those who read this newsletter regularly know that "the Great Light" represents Lucifer, and the new religion they seek is Luciferianism. [9]

Who brought on World War I? Most of the books written after the war ended accused Sir Edward Grey, the British Foreign Minister. After reading his memoirs, and a number of books written by world leaders, I am convinced that Sir Edward Grey brought on World War I intentionally, and that he was either a member of Cecil Rhodes' secret society or closely aligned with them. [10] Bertrand Russell wrote about him in his autobiography:

". . . I became a member of a small dining club called 'The Coefficients'. . . . One evening Sir Edward Grey (not then in office) made a speech advocating the policy of the Entente, which had not yet been adopted by the Government. I stated my objections to the policy very forcibly, and pointed out the likelihood of its leading to war, but no one agreed with me, so I resigned from the club. It will be seen that I began my opposition to the first war at the earliest possible moment." [11]

The meeting Bertrand Russell referred to took place sometime before 1905 when Sir Edward became the British Foreign Minister. Thus we can be certain that the plan for World War I was formulated before that time.

Several years later a similar plan was formulated in the United States. The 83rd Congress asked Congressman B. Carroll Reece to lead a Congressional Committee to investigate the tax-exempt foundations. Norman Dodd was appointed Director of Research for the Committee. He sent Miss Kathryn Casey to the Carnegie Endowment for International Peace to review their records. She was allowed to study the minutes of the meetings of the Endowment's Board of Directors for 1908 and 1909, and found that they had debated the question:

"Is there any means known to man more effective than war, assuming you want to alter the life of an entire people? At the end of the year, they came to the conclusion that there was no more effective means to that end known to man. So, then they raised question number two, and the question was, 'How do we involve the United States in a war?'" [12]

Did that really happen? Rene` Wormser was the counsel for the Reece Committee. After the Committee's report was suppressed, he wrote a book about the tax-exempt foundations and the Carnegie Endowment in which he noted:

"When Andrew Carnegie established The Carnegie Endowment for International Peace, he gave the managers of this fund a difficult task. How were they to go about promoting peace? They seem to have had no very clear idea until Dr. Nicholas Murray Butler . . . got excited about the peril of the Allies in World War I and decided that the best way to establish peace was to help get the United States into the War. To this end he began to use the Endowment funds." [13]

Dr. Nicholas Murray Butler used the Carnegie Endowment's funds for propaganda purposes to force the United States into World War I. Why did he do that? Rene` Wormser tells us:

"When the war was ended. . . . Support for the League of Nations gave the Endowment one new outlet for its energies and its funds. . . ." [14]

Nicholas Murray Butler wanted to involve the United States in World War I so we could participate in the peace negotiations. He hoped the League of Nations would become a world government. When the League failed, J.P. Morgan organized the Council on Foreign Relations in conjunction with the American branch of Cecil Rhodes' secret society. Dr. Nicholas Murray Butler then became a member of the clique that controlled the CFR, and its globalist agenda. [15]

The opening page of the 1908 edition of The Journal of American History anticipated the first world war. There we read:

"'The most fearful war of the century is coming soon. After the war, will come world-peace - the highest development of the race in this cycle.' This is the prediction made a few days ago by a distinguished political economist. . . . The peoples of the earth, and their rulers and leaders, are united in the edict that war must cease and reason must triumph. . . . The Journal of American History dedicates this book to the United Nations of the World. . . ." [16]

How did the editors of the Journal of American History know that a war was coming, and there would be a United Nations? Because the war was planned both here in the United States and in Great Britain.

Kaiser Wilhelm wrote about the origin of the war. He believed Sir Edward Grey created it, but noted:

"I have been informed that an important role was played in the preparation of the World War directed against the monarchical Central Powers by the policy of the international "Great Orient Lodge"; a policy extending over many years and always envisaging the goal at which it aimed. . . . Dismemberment of Austria-Hungary, democratization of Germany, elimination of the House of Hapsburg, abdication of the German Emperor . . . elimination of the Pope and the Catholic Church, elimination of every state Church in Europe." [17]

Was Freemasonry responsible for the war? The assassin who killed Archduke Francis Ferdinand in Sarajevo was a Mason, and that act started a chain of events that led to a limited war between Austria-Hungary and Serbia. On the other hand, if Sir Edward Grey and his associates had not wanted a major conflict, World War I would never have taken place. The upper echelons of European Masonry have always worked with the leaders of other secret societies. In his book Morals and Dogma Albert Pike tells us that Freemasonry, ". . . aided in bringing about the French Revolution . . . . and sustained Napoleon. . . ." [18] Freemasonry has always played an important role in directing the course of world events, but they have worked in conjunction with the leaders of other secret societies. [19]

Without World War I the League of Nations would never have been conceived; without World War II the United Nations would never have been created. When World War I ended the American people wanted to know why we had sent our men to fight and die in a senseless European conflict. The Eastern Establishment, which acts as a front for the secret societies, employed a number of historians and other experts to offer possible explanations. Some claimed the munitions manufacturers were responsible for the war, others insisted the war was fought to secure commercial markets. Another group tried to blame the war on the Jews, but all of the explanations were designed to conceal the identity of those who were responsible for manipulating our nation into the Great War. [20] The same thing happened after World War II, but one historian refused to compromise his integrity. Charles Austin Beard was a popular writer, and a well-known historian. When he was asked to work for the Establishment, he refused, and then he wrote an article for the Saturday Evening Post. There he revealed:

"The Rockefeller Foundation and the Council on Foreign Relations . . . intend to prevent, if they can, a repetition of what they call in the vernacular 'the debunking journalistic campaign following World War I.' Translated into precise English, this means that the Foundation and the Council do not want journalists or any other persons to examine too closely and criticize too freely the official propaganda and official statements relative to "our basic aims and activities" during World War II. In short, they hope that, among other things, the policies and measures of Franklin D. Roosevelt will escape in the coming years the critical analysis, evaluation and exposition that befell the policies and measures of Woodrow Wilson and the Entente Allies after World War I." [21]

Why did the Rockefeller Foundation and the Council on Foreign Relations want to keep the American people from learning about "our basic aims and activities" in World War II? Because they feared the public would learn that they brought us into the war, and they would be held responsible for their crimes against humanity.

Jim Marrs wrote about the financing of World War II:

"A considerable amount of the funds used to perpetuate the war came through the Bank for International Settlements (BIS), owned by the Morgan-affiliated First National Bank of New York, the Bank of England, Germany's Reischbank . . . other major central banks. . . . Germany's biggest manufacturers of armored fighting vehicles were Opel, a wholly owned General Motors subsidiary controlled by Morgan interests, and the German subsidiary of Ford Motor Company. Reuters News Service reported that . . . Albert Speer said that Hitler would never have considered invading Poland without the synthetic fuel technology provided to Germany by General Motors. . . ." [22]

American corporations provided the Nazis with the equipment they used to kill our soldiers, and American banks provided the Nazis with the funds needed to continue the war.

In his book Trading With The Enemy: An Expose` of the Nazi-American Money Plot 1933-1949, Charles Higham wrote:

"The Bank for International Settlements in Basel, Switzerland, was Nazi- controlled, but presided over by an American, even in 1944. At one of its yearly meetings, the bank's president sat down with his German, Japanese, Italian, British, and American executive staff to discuss shipment of 378 million dollars in gold sent to the bank by the Nazi government for use by its leaders after the war. This was gold looted from the banks of Austria, Belgium and Czechoslovakia, or melted down from teeth fillings, eyeglass frames, and wedding rings of murdered Jews.

But that is only one of the stories. Standard Oil of New Jersey executives shipped the Nazis oil through Switzerland while Allied forces endured restrictions of supplies and shortages abounded." [23]

For additional information on the origin and financing of World War II, I suggest:

(1) Tragedy and Hope by Carroll Quigley - reveals that members of Rhodes' secret society encouraged Adolph Hitler's expansionist policies.
(2) Prisoner Number 7 by Eugene Byrd - reveals the reason for Rudolph Hess's flight to England. He wanted to contact Round Table members because he thought they would help him negotiate a peace agreement with England since they supported Hitler before the war.
(3) Wall Street and the Rise of Hitler by Antony Sutton - documents the fact that American corporations and American banks financed Adolph Hitler both before and during World War II.
(4) Who Financed Hitler? by the Pooles - reveals the part Henry Ford played in financing the Nazis.
(5) Trading With the Enemy: An Expose of the Nazi-American Money Plot 1933-1948 by Charles Higham - documents the fact that American corporations and American banks supported the Nazis both before and during World War II.

Without World War II there would be no United Nations today. Alger Hiss was a communist spy. In 1945 he was appointed acting Secretary General of the United Nations, and in that capacity he wrote The United Nations Charter. The preamble to the Charter states: [24]

"We the peoples of the United Nations determined to save succeeding generations from the scourge of war, which twice in our lifetime has brought untold sorrow to mankind, and to reaffirm faith in fundamental human rights, in dignity and worth of the human person, in the equal rights of men and women and of nations large and small, and to establish conditions under which justice and respect for the obligations arising from treaties and other sources of international law can be maintained, and to promote social progress and better standards of life in larger freedom. . . ." [25]

What was the justification for the formation of the United Nations? It was ". . . the scourge of war, which twice in our lifetime has brought untold sorrow to mankind. . . ." Who was responsible for the wars that brought untold sorrow to mankind? The secret societies that wanted the United Nations. Their goal was world government, and a new world religion.

In an effort to promote global government, and a new world spirituality, the Religious and Spiritual leaders of the world will meet at the United Nations Building on the August 28. Seven days later The State of the World Forum will meet there to plan the global society, and two days after that the Millennium Summit will meet there to consider The Charter for Global Democracy, and The Earth Charter. The first Charter was written by Maurice Strong and 27 other internationalists. The second Charter was written by Maurice Strong, Steven Rockefeller, and Mikhail Gorbachev. Both documents promote socialism, world government, and a new spirituality.

Robert Muller was the Assistant Secretary General of the United Nations for many years. He is an occultist and one of the most influential men in the world. He, Maurice Strong, and Mikhail Gorbachev are leading us toward global government and a new spirituality. In his novel, The First Lady of The World, Robert Muller revealed the spiritual significance of the site where the UN building stands today:

"The UN stands on a piece of land called by the Manhattan Indians, Turtle Bay. Their legend was that floods of blood would drench that place but that there would come a time when many tribes will meet here to make peace. It happens that for many years the slaughter houses of Manhattan stood here and floods of blood were lost by hundreds of thousands of animals. When Mr. John Rockefeller bought the land, he got the slaughter houses destroyed and offered the grounds to the UN, the meeting place of many tribes. One could also add that the UN was born from the blood of the 30 million humans who died in World War II. These are the Earth vibrations noticeable at the UN. . . . And indeed the UN is the world's House of Hope." [26]

Now you know why the site where the UN building stands is so important. Thirty million human beings, or more, were sacrificed to justify the creation of the United Nations. The UN was born from their blood.

What are we to do? We are to continue informing others, even though many of them don't want to hear the truth. I am working on a new approach that will help you reach others.

I recently had a two-hour radio debate with three Masons. After the program they were so distraught they are considering buying time on a local radio station to present their views. This is unprecedented since Masons seldom, if ever, defend their views in public.

Radio Liberty can now be heard at 7:00 a.m. Pacific Time on the American Freedom Network. You can access that program through www.radioliberty.com to the American Freedom link. Please tell others about it.

People across America are passing out our audio tapes and our newsletters, and a growing number of people are learning the truth. I want to express my appreciation to all those who are helping to disseminate our material. We have had a heart-warming response to our July newsletter, and thousands of copies have been distributed.

Radio Liberty offers Jim Marrs' book, Rule by Secrecy. If you purchase it through us, you will receive a copy of my interview with the author. We also carry Our Global Neighborhood. It is required reading for those who want to understand the UN plan for global government.

Don't become discouraged. Remember King David's words:

"But I trusted in thee, O Lord: I said, Thou art my God. My times are in thy hand: deliver me from the hand of mine enemies, and from them that persecute me." [27]

Always remember those words: "My times are in thy hands." The Lord is sovereign, and he will provide us with the strength needed for the times that lie ahead. Thank you for your support and your prayers.

Yours in Christ,

Stanley Monteith, M. D.
