"The next 15 years may well be the age of superterrorism, when they gain access to weapons of mass destruction and show a new willingness to use them. . . . Terrorists in the early years of the twenty-first century will reflect the causes that excite passion and move people to violence . . . conflict will increase until a new stasis or 'world order' is established."
The Futurist, November-December 1994 [1]

"The war against terrorism is a war with an unlimited number of battles, none of them decisive. . . . People will have to accept longer lines before entering buildings, longer delays at airports, more intrusive searches of belongings and our persons, and higher ticket prices to pay for all of this. . . . Greater vigilance will also involve a willingness to compromise some of our civil liberties, including accepting more frequent phone taps and surveillance."
Richard Haass, August 4, 1996 [2]

Have the American people been told the truth about the events that took place on 9/11? Does a small group (several hundred people) control most media outlets, most banks, most corporations, both political parties, and the presidency of the United States? If that is true, why hasn't someone told the American people?

Last month's Radio Liberty letter discussed the men and the organizations that control most of the wealth of our nation. Some people call them "The Invisible Government," other people call them "The Occult Hierarchy," I call them "The Brotherhood of Darkness (BOD)." How did they obtain their wealth and power? I believe they are energized by spiritual entities that bridge the gap between the visible world and the spiritual dimension. What is their goal? They want to establish world government, destroy Christianity, bring the Kingdom of God to earth, and enslave mankind. [3] Will they succeed? Everything is in place. The UN Secretary General is the world leader, the Security Council is his Cabinet, the General Assembly is a world parliament. They have a World Bank, a World Court, a world army (NATO), and a world police force (Interpol). I believe we are witnessing the final act of the ancient effort to reestablish world government.

The Council on Foreign Relations, and the organizations they spawned, coordinate the current effort to unify the world. The following entry appears in the "History of CFR" section of their web site:

"The most fruitful ground for new members turned out to be the so-called 'in-and outers' - businessmen, lawyers, and academics described by social scientists like C. Wright Mills as an influential 'power elite.' Two widely quoted critics of the Council, Laurence H. Shoup and William Minter, studied the curriculum vitae of 502 government officials in high positions from 1945 to 1972, and found that more than half of them were members of the Council on Foreign Relations." [4]

CFR officials have controlled U.S. Foreign Policy since 1945, but the Trilateral Commission (TC), which was organized by David Rockefeller and Zbigniew Brzezinski in 1973, controls the U.S. presidency. Senator Barry Goldwater's book, With No Apologies, reveals their goal. The TC:

". . . is intended to be the vehicle for multinational consolidation of the commercial and banking interests by seizing control of the political government of the United States." [5]

David Rockefeller, Zbigniew Brzezinski, and the powerful men they recruited, wanted to "seize control of the political government of the United States," and the "commercial and banking interests" of the world. Did they succeed? They began by recruiting a relatively unknown peanut farmer named Jimmy Carter, inducted him into the Trilateral Commission, trained him, focused media attention on him, and got Jimmy Carter elected President of the United States in 1976. Patrick Wood discussed the TC'c influence in the Carter administration in a recent issue of The August Review:

"Out of the 54 original U.S. members of the Trilateral Commission, Jimmy Carter was fronted to win the presidential election in 1976. Once inaugurated, Carter brought no less than 18 fellow members of the Commission into top-level cabinet and government agencies." [6]

When Ronald Reagan was campaigning for the presidency in 1980, a reporter asked Reagan for his opinion of the Trilateral Commission. Ronald Reagan replied:

"I don't believe that the Trilateral Commission is a conspiratorial group, but I do think its interests are devoted to international banking, multinational corporations, and so forth. I don't think that any Administration of the U.S. Government should have the top nineteen positions filled by people from any one group or organization representing one viewpoint. No, I would go in a different direction." [7]

Several months later, during the 1980 National Republican Convention, Ronald Reagan promised a group of supporters he wouldn't accept George Herbert Walker Bush as his running mate, [8] but three days later Ronald Reagan selected George Bush as his running mate despite the fact that Bush supported abortion, and was a member of the Trilateral Commission and Board of Directors of the CFR before he ran for the presidency. [9]

President Reagan appointed 287 members of the CFR and the TC to key positions in his administration, orchestrated the largest corporate and social security tax increase in U.S. history (1986), massively increased federal spending, and almost tripled the national debt during the eight years of his presidency. [10] Why did that happen? Most people believe Ronald Reagan was a Christian because he consulted Christian leaders and mentioned God in his speeches, but Ronald Reagan also accepted an honorary 33rd degree of Masonry on February 11, 1988 [11] and looked to Astrology.

Nancy Reagan's astrologer (Joan Quigley) claims President Reagan asked his wife, "What does Joan say?" after Nancy visited her, and Wikipedia quotes a passage from Joan Quigley's book that states:

"Not since the days of the Roman emperors - and never in the history of the United States Presidency - has an astrologer played such a significant role in the nation's affairs of State." [12]

If that is true, why hasn't someone told the American people? [13]

The TC and the CFR used their influence to obtain the presidency for George H. W. Bush (TC - CFR) in 1988; most key positions in his administration were filled with members of these organizations. [14]

Bill Clinton belonged to both groups and attended several Bilderberger meetings. Richard Harwood's October 30, 1993, Washington Post article reveals the CFR influence in the Clinton administration:

"The president is a member. So is his secretary of state, the deputy secretary of state, all five of the undersecretaries, several of the assistant secretaries and the department's legal adviser. The President's national security adviser and his deputy are members. The director of Central Intelligence (like all previous directors) and the chairman of the Foreign Intelligence Advisory Board are members. The secretary of defense, three undersecretaries and at least four assistant secretaries are members. The secretaries of the departments of housing and urban development, interior, health and human services and the chief White House public relations man, David Gergen, are members, along with the speaker of the House and the majority leader of the Senate." [15]

Bill Clinton's Secretary of State Madeleine Albright, Deputy Secretary of State Strobe Talbott, Federal Reserve Board Chairman Alan Greenspan, Director of the CIA George Tenet, and at least eight other members of the Clinton administration were members of the "North American Group" of the Trilateral Commission. [16]

George W. Bush wasn't a member of either group, but Vice President Dick Cheney, who runs the Bush administration, belongs to both organizations. Members of the TC are asked to resign from the organization when they accept public office, so Dick Cheney resigned and his wife took his place. Lynne Cheney is currently one of the 130 members of the North American Group of the Trilateral Commission. [17]

Nine of the ten men that George W. Bush selected to advise him on foreign policy issues in 1999 were members of the Council on Foreign Relations. The tenth man, Richard Armitage, is a member of the Trilateral Commission. Almost all the key positions in the current Bush administration are held by members of the CFR and the TC. [18]

Is the BOD responsible for the tragic events that took place on 9/11? I believe they created the Islamic movement that supposedly threatens the U.S. today. [19]

Henry Kissinger was a founding member of the TC, a long-time member of the Board of Directors of the CFR, and is a leader of the BOD today. His September 13, 2006, op-ed-page article in The Washington Post discusses the implications of the coming war:

"The debate sparked by the Iraq war over American rashness versus European escapism is dwarfed by what the world now faces . . . the common danger of a wider war merging into a war of civilizations against the background of a nuclear-armed Middle East. . . . We now know that we face the imperative of building a new world order or potential global catastrophe." [20]

Henry Kissinger claims we have two choices: we either abandon national sovereignty and build a new world order or face a potential global catastrophe.

Are there other alternatives? Yes! We can expose the BOD's involvement in the 9/11 attack. Where do we begin? To understand the events that are taking place today, you must understand what happened in 1953 when John Foster Dulles was Secretary of State, and his brother, Allen Dulles, was the Director of the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA). Both men were founding members of the CFR, both men wanted to end national sovereignty, and both men wanted to establish world government. [21] Under their direction, the CIA deposed the democratically elected government of Iran and installed the Shah of Iran because John Foster Dulles and Allen Dulles claimed the Shah's government would be a bulwark against communism. [22] Twenty-six years later, in 1979, when Zbigniew Brzezinski (CFR - TC) was President Carter's National Security Advisor, the CIA deposed the Shah and installed the radical Islamic regime that rules Iran today. [23] Why did Zbigniew Brzezinski depose the Shah of Iran, who was our ally, and install a radical Islamic regime that was aligned with the Soviet Union, and was our enemy? Apologists claim Brzezinski made a mistake, but I don't believe that's true. I believe Brzezinski understood the long-term consequences of his disastrous policy and created the Islamic fundamentalist movement that supposedly threatens the U.S. today. Zbigniew Brzezinski discussed the problem in his book, The Grand Chessboard.

"A possible challenge to American primacy from Islamic fundamentalism could be part of the problem in this unstable region. . . . However, without political cohesion and in the absence of a single genuinely powerful Islamic state, a challenge from Islamic fundamentalism would lack a geopolitical core and would thus be more likely to express itself through diffuse violence." [24]

Most Americans weren't aware of the threat of the Islamic movement until 9/11. Where did it come from? When did it begin? It originated in Afghanistan in 1977 when the CFR-TC-controlled CIA began funding the rebels who were trying to destabilize the communist government that controlled that country. By December 1979, the puppet regime was on the verge of collapse. The Soviet Union invaded Afghanistan to keep their agents in power, precipitated the Afghan war, and spawned the Islamic fundamentalist movement that supposedly threatens the U.S. today. [25]

Saudi Arabia, Pakastani Intelligence (the ISI), and the CIA immediately began recruiting warriors from Islamic countries, trained them how to use explosives, taught them terrorist tactics, distributed copies of the Koran, stressed the importance of Islamic Jihad, and spawned the Islamic fundamentalist movement. [26] To insure the success of the program, the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) spent $51 million on Islamic textbooks that were used in Afghan schools to promote radical Islamic belief, and stress the importance of Jihad. If you find that difficult to believe, I suggest you obtain a copy of "Teaching ABCs and Jihad" that appeared in the April 1-7, 2002 issue of The Washington Post National Weekly Edition. [27]

Following the Afghan war, Zbigniew Brzezinski repeatedly denied he was responsible for the conflict, but ten years later, in 1998, Brzezinski admitted he precipitated the Soviet invasion to bankrupt the Soviet Union and end the Cold War. [28] I don't believe that is true. I believe Zbigniew Brzezinski knew the conflict between communism and the West was staged because he acknowledged the fact that the West financed the Bolsheviks on page 135 of his book, Between Two Ages. I also believe Brzezinski knew the U.S. financed the Soviet Union that provided most of the weapons that were used to kill American soldiers during the Vietnam war. If that is true, why did Brzezinski promote Islamic fundamentalism? I believe the current conflict in the Middle East, and the disastrous war that lies ahead, were planned many years ago. If you find that view difficult to believe, I suggest you read Brotherhood of Darkness, check my documentation, watch my interview with Professor Sutton, The Best Enemies Money Can Buy, read Professor Suttons's books, and obtain a copy of the "Aid and Trade Documents" that Congressman Larry McDonald published before he disappeared into the living hell of the Soviet Gulag. [29]

Robert Dreyfuss's book, Devil's Game, traces the history of Islamic fundamentalism from its inception in 1869 to the advent of the Islamic terrorist movement that Zbigniew Brzezinski (TC - CFR) spawned during and after the Afghan war. Robert Dreyfuss quoted Fawaz Gerges who wrote:

"Containing Soviet Communism, said Brzezinski, dictated an avoidance of anything that might split Islamic opposition to the Soviets, especially a U.S.-Iranian military confrontation. 'It now seemed to me more important to forge an anti-Soviet Islamic coalition'. As in the 1950s and 1960s, the United States hoped to use Islam against radical, secular forces and their atheist ally, the Soviet Union. Carter administration officials now recognized the new possibilities for cooperation with Islamic resurgence and hoped to harness its ideological and material resources against Communist expansionism." [30]

Zbigniew Brzezinski admitted he created the radical movement when he was interviewed by Nouvel Observateur in 1998 and that his intention all along was to provoke a Soviet invasion of Afghanistan. When asked if he regretted supporting the rise of Islamic fundamentalism, he replied:

"What is more important to the history of the world? The Taliban or the collapse of the Soviet empire? Some stirred-up Muslims or the liberation of Central Europe and the end of the cold war?" [31]

In the Introduction to Devil's Game, Dreyfuss states:

"After 2001, the Bush administration appeared to sign on to the neoconservative declaration that the world was defined by a 'clash of civilizations,' and launched its global war on terrorism, targeting Al Qaeda - the most virulent strain of the very virus that the United States had helped create." [32]

Did the CFR - TC create the Islamic terrorist movement?

The November-December 1994 issue of The World Future Society's magazine, The Futurist, published an article titled "The Future Face of Terrorism" that stated:

"The next 15 years may well be the age of superterrorism, when they gain access to weapons of mass destruction and show a new willingness to use them. . . . Terrorists in the early years of the twenty-first century will reflect the causes that excite passion and move people to violence . . . conflict will increase until a new stasis or 'world order' is established." [33]

How did the WFS authors know what lay ahead? Robert S. McNamara is a lifetime trustee of the Trilateral Commission, a member of the Board of Directors of the WFS, and, at that time, the WFS's logo was a circle that contained three sixes - 666.

Most people are distressed by the long lines they face at airports, and the fact that government agencies are monitoring phone calls under the guise of "fighting terrorism." Did the BOD plan those things? Richard N. Haass was "director of national security programs" for the Council on Foreign Relations on August 4, 1996, when The Palm Beach Post, and several other newspapers published his article, "Land Of The Free" Makes a Tempting Target. Five years before 9/11, Richard Haass wrote:

"The war against terrorism is a war with an unlimited number of battles, none of them decisive. . . . What price are we prepared to pay? The price will be financial and personal. People will have to accept longer lines before entering buildings, longer delays at airports, more intrusive searches of belongings and our persons, and higher ticket prices to pay for all of this. . . . Greater vigilance will also involve a willingness to compromise some of our civil liberties, including accepting more frequent phone taps and surveillance . . . . Those who would resist paying such a price should keep in mind that terrorism could well get worse in the coming years . . . there is evidence that the terrorist challenge is entering a new phase." [34]

Richard Haass was the "director of policy planning" at the Department of State on 9/11. He is currently President of the CFR and a member of the TC. There are 300 million people in the U.S. Why are almost all of the important posts in industry, banking, academia, the military, and government held by members of the CFR and the North American Group of the Trilateral Commission?

Zbigniew Brzezinski (CFR - TC) contends the Middle East is the center of the world, and the U.S. must dominate that region to control the world. He wrote:

"As America becomes an increasingly multicultural society, it may find it more difficult to fashion a consensus on foreign policy issues, except in the circumstances of a truly massive and widely perceived direct external threat. Such a consensus generally existed throughout World War II and even during the Cold War. It was rooted . . . in a cultural and ethnic affinity for the predominantly European victims of hostile total- itarianisms. In the absence of a comparable external challenge, American society may find it much more difficult to reach agreement regarding foreign policies. . . ." (italics added) [35]

Members of the CFR and the TC who are also members of the Project For the New American Century understand the U.S. must have an enemy, or at least a "widely perceived direct external threat" to justify U.S. control of the world. The authors of their publication, Rebuilding America's Defenses (2000) expressed that concept when they wrote:

"The process of transformation, even if it brings revolutionary change, is likely to be a long one, absent some catastrophic and catalyzing event, like a new Pearl Harbor." (italics added) [36]

Thomas Kean (CFR), the Chairman of the 9/11 Commission, and Lee Hamilton (CFR-TC), the Vice Chairman of the 9/11 Commission, wrote a book titled Without Precedent that described Condaleezza Rice's (CFR) testimony before the 9/11 Commission. When she was asked "why more had not been done to take defensive measures in response to the threat reporting over the spring and summer," she told the Commission the public wasn't prepared to support President Bush's effort to take drastic action against Al Qaeda. There had to be a catastrophic event that forced people to think differently. Thomas Kean (CFR) and Lee Hamilton (CFR - TC) wrote:

". . . Rice pointed out that the nation simply wasn't prepared to take dramatic action against al Qaeda before 9/11 - either abroad or in reforming government at home - and said, 'Until there is a catastrophic event that forces people to think differently, that forces people to overcome all customs and old culture and old fears about domestic intelligence . . . you don't get that kind of change.'" (italics added) [37]

The 9/11 attack overcame "all customs and old culture and old fears about intelligence" of the American people, and generated public support for the invasion of Afghanistan and Iraq.

When Donald Rumsfeld testified before the 9/11 Commission, he assured the commissioners that the Bush administration was working on a plan to defeat al Qaeda; the plan was completed on September 10, 2001, the day before the 9/11 attack. Thomas Kean and Lee Hamilton wrote:

"Rumsfeld acknowledged the spike in reports of possible al Qaeda attacks in the spring and summer of 2001, saying, 'There was a good deal of concern. It was certainly not business an usual.' In response, he said the Bush administration was putting together a more 'comprehensive policy' to go after al Qaeda than the Clinton administration's, a process that did not conclude until September 10, 2001." [38]

Donald Rumsfeld claims the Bush administration's plan was completed the day before the 9/11 attack. Twenty-six days later the U.S. deployed military forces in Afghanistan, but failed to capture Osama bin Laden, and destroy al Qaeda and the Taliban.

There is much more to the story, but it will have to wait until next month.

H.L. Mencken wrote:

"The whole aim of practical politics is to keep the populace alarmed (and hence clamorous to be led to safety) by menacing it with an endless series of hobgoblins, all of them imaginary." [39]

Millions of Americans know something is seriously wrong. We must reach them, tell them the truth, and lead them to our Lord.

Barbara and I appreciate your faithful support, and your prayers.

Yours in Christ,

Stanley Monteith
